Think Pink!

Here is something we received via email this week we wanted to share with our readers.

"GET STITCHING FOR PINK:
SVP WORLDWIDE INVITES SEWERS TO START STITCHING
TO HELP FIGHT BREAST CANCER

July 6, 2010 - SVP Worldwide, one of the world’s largest sewing machine companies and source of the SINGER®, HUSQVARNA VIKING® and PFAFF® sewing machines collections, invites sewers and embroiderers across the country and around the world to use their skills to help raise awareness and raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through STITCHING FOR PINK.

STITCHING FOR PINK is a global online campaign to raise breast cancer awareness and help fund a cure through embroidery. By donating $5, you become a member of STITCHING FOR PINK and will receive ten exclusive embroidery designs - along with complete instructions - that have a breast cancer awareness message or theme. The $5 donation will be given directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The STITCHING FOR PINK awareness and fundraising campaign will culminate on October 30, the final day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For more detailed information, please visit stitchingforpink.org.

As a proud supporter of this global initiative, SVP Worldwide has created a very special free, pink-themed embroidery project called “Making a Difference” which will be available on MyEmbroideries.com throughout the month of July. The pattern incorporates words of hope and wisdom as well as beautiful pink embellishments. You can download this inspirational wall-hanging project at http://www.myembroideries.com/MyEmbroideries/stitch4pink/default.aspx .

“Myembroideries.com is the most comprehensive embroidery design shop in the world,” said Ann Bragg, Vice President of Aftermarket and Brand Extension Sales for SVP Worldwide. “We are hoping that with the participation of our passionate users, we can build support for STITCHING FOR PINK and its important mission and have an impact on the fight to cure breast cancer.”

Breast cancer is something that hits close to home for me and I am glad we are able to share this new site and information with our readers.

PS This week has been interesting and we do have a great spotlight planned but my body has decided that is doesn't like being pregnant anymore so after a few fun days and hospital trips I am on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy = the blog has taken a back seat during the adventure.  Now that I am just home I can spend a bit more time on it.  Here's hoping to him staying in for 2 more weeks!
