Fabric Bead Necklace

A lot of my time is spent browsing the internet searching for "must have" sewing projects to feature on our site.  There are so many tasty treats for the eyes out there, but when I came across today's feature, I was truly inspired.

It was time to get out my sewing machine; and not just get it out, but to create a sewing space just for me.  Our house is quite small and my sewing machine may now be sitting right on the wall between our dining room and front room, but I am happy.

Now I need a good pattern for a sewing maching cover.  Anyone know of one?

I know you will want to sew this necklace.  If you are anything like me, you are already imagining the endless combinations with fabric and the clothes hanging in your closet.  Pure happiness.  Now I just need to sew one for myself and not give it away like I did the last one.

Thank you Jamie for posting such a delightful tutorial on your charming blog, Pretty Ditty.

And you won't want to miss out on her hooded scarf either.  I really want one of these for next winter!

***added new link to pre-pattern sale for the hooded scarf- just click on hooded scarf***

  4. There is also a great tutorial for a sewing machine cover using a jelly roll (precut 2 1/2" strips) on the Moda Bake Shop site which is http://www.modabakeshop.com You know, I moved my sewing machine downstairs (out of my sewing room) last summer because it was TOO hot in my sewing room! I actually used it more when it was down there too! I guess out of sight, out of mind. Love your blog!
